University of Lublin Lublin is the largest academic city in the Lublin region. Due to the proximity of the eastern border, it is a colorful and diverse city in terms of encountered languages ​​and cultures. This color is also introduced by students who come to the city every year from different parts of Poland and the world. Year by year in October, the population of Lublin increases by about 70,000 students. There are five public universities in Lublin, including three of them universities. Universities in Lublin rank Lublin at the top of the ranking of Polish academic cities. We can divide universities in the city due to their nature. The first is a humanities university. We are talking about the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University, the largest public university on the left side of the Vistula. Every year, university authorities propose new fields of study and introduce unique specializations. The education is conducted at 11 Faculties in Lublin and the Off-Campus Department in Puławy, over 60 fields of study and over 200 specialties. UMCS is one of the leaders in Poland in terms of the number of active research clubs in relation to the number of students. Currently, there are over 80 of them, they bring together young people who, thanks to their enthusiasm and determination, organize interesting initiatives. The university has modern laboratories and invests in infrastructure. Thanks to this, modern facilities are created, such as the Faculty of Earth Sciences and Spatial Management, the Institute of Computer Science and the Center of Functional Nanomaterials at the Faculty of Chemistry. Recently, the University has opened a modern Artistic Media Incubator. It is a digital creative center unique on the Eastern Polish market, which fits into the space of dialogue between education, culture, art and the media. The university also has a understanding with TVP Lublin, providing for the implementation of joint media projects as part of the Incubator. The second largest university in Lublin is the University of Life Sciences in Lublin. As the name suggests, the university within its walls implements fields and specializations of nature, more broadly agro-cultural. There are six faculties at the university. Each of them is a chance to gain knowledge in the field of organic agricultural production, renewable energy, the use of GPS systems and environmental protection. The university has an Academic Choir of the University of Life Sciences and the Song and Dance Ensemble “Jawor”. As part of the university, there is also the Center for Culture and Village Folklore and the Congress Center (one of the largest entertainment halls in Lublin). The University of Life Sciences cooperates with agricultural universities in China, Slovakia, Ukraine and Italy. The third university existing in Lublin is the Medical University of Lublin. It offers education at 4 faculties: 1st Medical Faculty with Dentistry Department, 2nd Medical Faculty with English Language Department, Pharmaceutical Faculty with Medical Analytics Department and Health Sciences Department. Currently, about 7,000 people study at the University. Over a thousand of them are foreign students from as many as 53 countries around the world. The university offers 15 fields of study: medical analytics, biomedicine, dietetics, electroradiology, pharmacy, physiotherapy, dental hygiene, cosmetology, medicine, medicine and dentistry, nursing, obstetrics, medical rescue, dental techniques, public health. Education at the University takes place at first, second and third cycle (doctoral studies), full-time and part-time. The university also conducts postgraduate studies in medical specialties and related fields, specialist courses and training. Recruitment for the University of Lublin Recruitment rules are individually developed for each university. The highest-scoring subjects at the University of Life Sciences are modern foreign language as well as biology, mathematics, chemistry, computer science, geography, physics and astronomy. Additional points can be earned for subjects: history and social studies. At the Medical University, you’ll earn the most points for: biology, which is a compulsory subject for each major. You will gain additional points by passing your chemistry and physics exam. The Maria Curie-Skłodowska University points out a high school diploma in the number and variety of its subjects. Depending on the direction you choose, the recruitment rate may vary.
